Ahhh, there’s nothing like fall in Wisconsin

When the leaves begin to turn the perfect shade of red, yellow, or orange, and the pumpkins are ripe for the picking, that’s your cue to embrace everything fall with a visit to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Autumn Adventure

Prairie Springs Park is THE place to see fall foliage at its finest. Soak up the crisp autumn air, and snap iconic photos along the way, as you traverse over 900 acres of parkland, including 2.3 miles of paved trails.

Seasonal Shopping

Cooler weather calls for a new seasonally appropriate wardrobe. Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets is the place to be for an autumn shopping spree. This outdoor mall features over 80 stores, including favorite brands like Adidas, Michael Kors, and Underarmour. You won’t believe the incredible deals, all up to 65% off. Best part? LOW sales tax. Nearby, the Shoppes at Prairie Ridge is another great shopping location that is home to department and specialty stores like Costco, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, as well as an abundance of restaurant options. Whether you’re in the mood for some early holiday shopping or picking up essentials for yourself, Pleasant Prairie is the ideal shopping destination.

Fall activities

U-Pick Farms are extremely popular and we are lucky to have three amazing family-owned farms just minutes from Pleasant Prairie. Thompson Farm, Jerry Smith Produce & Pumpkin Farm, and Apple Holler are all wonderful places to enjoy quality time with family or friends as you pick your own pumpkins, apples, raspberries, or even sunflowers.

Ease into the back-to-school season with a weekend of museum hopping. Admission is free at the Pleasant Prairie History Museum.  Located in a historic building, this quaint museum focuses on the village's fun and quirky history, serving as a perfect stop to stretch your legs while you learn.

Fall Findings

Nearby, Kenosha's Dinosaur Discovery Museum is the only museum to focus on the link between meat-eating dinosaurs and birds while boasting one of the most complete, known fossil records. From the Dinosaur Discovery Museum, walk, drive or have more fun by taking the Kenosha Trolley to Kenosha’s Public and Civil War museums. Head to Simmon’s Island in Kenosha to check out the Kenosha History Museum and the Southport Light Station Museum. Know before you go and be sure to check on hours and availability.

Fall is also the perfect time to visit our neighbors at Boundless Adventures, an aerial adventure park in Bristol, Wisconsin. A unique, unforgettable experience, Boundless Adventures offers a variety of high-altitude ropes courses complete with zip lines. Where else can you crawl, swing, and climb high in the trees? But don’t worry, there are courses for all skill levels and experience is not required.

Halloween HighlightS

Fall wouldn’t be complete without a Halloween celebration. Pleasant Prairie’s Halloween Lights Tour features neighbors trying to outdo neighbors with their most elaborate outdoor decorations. Drive around our Village and vote for who you think created the most spectacular and spooky display.

Fall Freights

Six Flags Great America’s Fright Fest is held every October, adding seasonal scares to their already impressive attractions. Families adore the daytime festivities such as the Trick-or-Treat Trail and the Little Monster Kiddie Hay Ride. The brave can stay after dark for Fright by Night when hundreds of monsters roam the midways. Fright by Night also includes live performances and terrifying haunted houses.

Fall proves that there’s no end to the fun things to do in Pleasant Prairie. If you are looking to make the most of your autumn, look no further. We’d love to celebrate the splendor of the season with you.
